2nd Sunday Cinema
2nd Sunday Cinema is a monthly celebration of films produced by regional filmmakers from Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Every 2nd Sunday of the month, throughout the year, Great Wonders Productions will host screenings of films selected by our Uplift Film Fest jury. Whenever possible, filmmakers attend Second Sunday Cinema in person to introduce their films and host q&a sessions. They also receive a portion of the net box office revenue. This monthly cinematic arts event is meant to support, showcase and celebrate the awesome filmmaking talent in our region of the country. When you buy tickets to 2nd Sunday Cinema, you are supporting filmmaking and cinematic storytelling in the Four States!

Wisher Maddox - Directed by Oklahoma Filmmaker Dan E. Tibbs
"Growing up in an orphanage, eight-year-old Maddox's sole wish is to be adopted. Thinking God sent him a sign that it would come true, he begins to notice that his wishes for others are granted, but his wish for himself is left unanswered. Frustrated with God, and conflicted with the purpose of his powers, Maddox is left to decide whether to help those he encounters or to selfishly withhold his ability out of contempt for not getting what he thinks he deserves."
Simple Mercies – Directed by Kansas filmmaker Karen Elizabeth
"With a growing concern for a neglected boy living near his foundation company, Marcus is driven to help despite the opposition of those closest to him."
Say Hello - Directed by Arkansas Filmmaker Lainee Stiver
"When Carley and her fiancé, Marcus begin planning their wedding, Carley’s estranged, drug addicted mother comes to visit. This unexpected visit causes Carley to begin reliving her past, threatening any chance of reconciliation as well as her sanity. Say Hello is a narrative against cancel culture. Focusing on an interpersonal relationship, Say Hello challenges society's tendency to "cancel" people for a single mistake and pushes us to consider the need to offer second chances, even when it's hard."
